Two suspected thugs attacked an M-pesa Tuesday night making away with over Ksh 60,000 and injuring a woman.
In the 8pm incident a man entered an Mpesa masquerading to withdraw Ksh 20,000 before another one entered soon with a gun. At gun point they took the cash, fleeing before the Kitengela police officers intervened.
During the commotion the neighbors who turned up ran for safety after the thugs began shooting on the air.
A Mama Mboga who operates a grocery nearby was shot on the leg.
Residents now call on security agency to enhance security saying in the recent past there has been increased cases of insecurity.
They say gun totting thugs have turned a threat forcing them to close business earlier than usual.
Isinya OCPD Stephen Weda(on phone) says they have launched investigations into the matter and will ensure the gun totting criminals are brought to book.
