Water Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa has urged Trans Nzoia residents to join the jubilee party saying it’s the only outfit with development agenda.

Speaking on Sunday in Kitale town during the distribution of the party membership cards, Wamalwa disclosed that the government has rolled out numerous development projects across the county and residents should support the government for the betterment of progress in the area.

“Jubilee government has initiated a number of development in Trans Nzoia including the construction of a bull center and roads, this show that the government has interest of people at heart ,” he said.

The CS presided over the launch of distribution of JP membership cards in the region that cost him Sh. 1Million, he said that it will be distributed in all 25 wards for free.

Wamalwa said the battle has now begun and that JP is going to take over the region that is believed to be the opposition’s strong hold.

He was optimistic that JP is going to take over the region in the coming general election especially now that Trans Nzoia Governor Patrick Khaemba 2013 rivals have teamed up together.

In 2013 Governor Khaemba garnered 89,053, votes to beat his rivals, who however showed an impressive performance that could replay again this year.

Former Cabinet Minister Noah Wekesa came second with 37,988 votes, while former UN employee Maurice Bisau got 33,177 followed by Joel Gesuka who got 29,030 votes.
