Embu Senator Lenny Kivuti has rubbished politicians in Embu propagating that Maendeleo Chap Chap (MCC) Party was not supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta re-election bid in the August General election.
This comes days after Embu leaders Led by Manyatta MP John Muchiri claimed that the MCC party belong to opposition and the party do not support President Uhuru.
Muchiri noted that all Jubilee coalition parties were merged and that the Jubilee Party does not have affiliated parties for now and that MCC is more in NASA than in Jubilee.
He has called on Senator Lenny Kivuti, Deputy Governor Dorothy Nditi and Mbeere North Muriuki Njagagua to rethink their decision to defect from the Jubilee party and come back and participate in Jubilee party nominations instead of joining a party that is more in opposition.
On his party Kivuti claims that Maendeleo Chap chap which is led by Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua was formed to neutralize the popularity of Opposition parties in Ukambani region and help the president get in roads in the area.
Kivuti said that the MCC party in extension belongs to Uhuru who together with Mutua formed the party to aid his re-election bid.
Kivuti said that those spreading the propaganda about the party are in panic mood since the party has started gaining support in Embu County as it will focus on development agenda not sideshows.
He said that he joined the party in order to realize the party slogan in Embu quick and fast development agenda for Embu County which have lagged behind in terms of development compared to other counties like Machakos.
The senator called upon other politicians to propagate their manifesto and not maligning each other in public rallies adding that the electorate will vote those with manifesto and not those who can abuse the other more.
