Volunteer offers to hire cars, motorbikes to ferry unregistered voters to registration points
As mass voter registration exercise is coming to an end on 14-2-2017 Tuesday next week, a business lady Jane Musa from Bomachoge Borabu Sub County in Kisii County has now decided to hire cars and motorbikes to ferry eligible voters who have not registered to registration points.
Jane Musa who is not vying for any seat said that she started transporting people to registration points since some don’t want to use their money for transport to register as voters.
Some are also demanding food for them to register making her to provide them with bread and soda. Residents’ expressed joy for the support adding that together with bodaboda leaders they will ensure all get to IEBC centers for registration.
Nyanza region is one of the areas where voter registration is poor compared to other regions like Rift Valley and Eastern.
