Kiambu Governor William Kabogo has warned residents without voters’ card that they will not access services at the county offices.
The Governor said residents seeking help from his office will have to prove they are enlisted as voters before accessing services.
“I want to make it clear that from today anyone seeking audience with me will have to produce two documents, an ID and the voter’s card without which they should not dare come,” Kabogo said.
He also indicated that the county government has availed 72 vehicles to ease voter registration exercise in far-flung areas across the county during the month-long exercise.
“All county government vehicles will be used to ferry the sick, elderly and the vulnerable to voter registration centres. We are not leaving anything to chance, Kabogo said.
He also appealed to the youth, women and people living with disabilities to take advantage of the county’s Biashara Fund to get empowered socially and economically.
