Central Bank and British firm De La Re have separately moved to court to reverse the nullification of the new currency tender award.
The Public Procurement Administrative Review Board nullified the Sh10 billion-a-year tender award to De La Rue International on Monday.
The tender was cancelled due to wrongful application of the law. CBK was directed to undertake a fresh 14-day evaluation of all tenders submitted by the four bidders who participated in the process.
CBK filed an urgent application at the High Court on Thursday, accusing the board of acting illegally and irrationally.
De La Rue filed a separate suit seeking to quash the decision cancelling its contract, saying it was unreasonable.
