Victims of road accidents in the country will be remembered on Sunday in a special programme set to be held along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.

The World day for remembrance of road accident that will be conducted in Karai trading center in Naivasha, comes in the background of increased cases of road accidents in the country.

This came as area residents expressed their concern over increased cases of fatal accidents involving pedestrians along the busy highway.

According to Naivasha sub-county commissioner Isaac Masinde, senior officers from the ministry of transport and NTSA are expected to grace the function.

Speaking in his office, Masinde noted that the move to erect speed bumps in some trading centers along the highway had seen cases of accidents involving pedestrians drop.
