Activist Okiya Omtatah Okoiti today sued Nyeri Town MP Ngunjiri Wambugu over the petition he filed at Judiciary Service commission last week seeking the ouster of Chief Justice David Maraga.
Omtatah wants the high court to issue an order barring any investigation and prosecution of the Chief Justice or any other Judge of the Supreme Court on account of the ruling made on 1 September 2017 nullifying the win of Uhuru Kenyatta.
He further seeks an order prohibiting the attack of the person of the Chief Justice, Judges of the Supreme Court and Judicial officers on account of decision they make in faithful execution of their judicial duties.
The activist also wants Ngunjiri compelled to pay sh 10 million as compensation to the chief Justice for violating his rights and that he be declared unfit to hold public office for allegedly violating the provisions of article 73 and 75 of the constitution.
The Nyeri Town MP filed a petition with the Judicial Service Commission last week aimed at removing Chief Justice David Maraga from office.
