Parents of a student who went missing about three weeks ago are appealing for government’s intervention to help trace the whereabouts of their son.
Peter Mwangi Kanga’ata a form three student at Baricho Boys High School in Kirinyaga County is said to have gone missing when he was reporting back from the mid-term break on 5th march.
According to his mother Rachael Kabura, he learned of the disappearance of his son through another parent in the school after a student called to inquire his whereabouts.
“I got a call from a parent and she told me her son was asking if Mwangi has been moved to another school because they have not seen him since they reported back from midterm,” she said.
The news she says was shocking as all this while she thought Mwangi was in school and she was preparing to visit him over the weekend.
The mother says some of his colleagues claim that he had reached at the school gate but was denied entry as he was not in the right school uniform and that was the last time they saw him.
