The fight for political control of the Northeastern region has blown up between the Leader of Majority in the National Assembly Aden Duale and Kanu candidates with the latter accusing Duale of sabotaging Kanu aspirants in the region.
Kanu national organising secretary Abdulrahman Bafadhil said Duale to carry his own political cross for Garissa politics.
“Aden Duale cannot consolidate Garissa County and Kanu has become a nightmare for him that is why he is sabotaging Kanu aspirants there. Kanu signed a pact with Jubilee for re-election of President Uhuru Kenyatta through the Party leader Senator Gideon Moi.” Bafadhil said.
However, Bafadhil clarified that they have no disagreements between the party and Jubilee leadership. “ There are no differences between us and Jubilee. Duale is shadow boxing himself. Let him carry his political cross for Garissa politics.” Bafadhil said.
Bafadhil accused Garissa Town member of Parliament of discrediting Garissa Women Representative Amina Keynan.
“Why is he obsessed with Women Reprsentative post? I respect my uncle Aden Duale but we have a traditional that men do not interfere on women affairs.” Amina said.
By yesterday evening, Duale was not reachable for comment.
The vocal MP is facing political challenge for Garissa Township legislator with former deputy speaker Farah Maalim of Wiper Party.
