The Anticipated Removal of the Deputy President by the Jubilee Party, ODM and ANC party leaders has today taken another twist.
This is after Jubilee Party Secretary General Hon Raphael Tuju has reported that there’s no single time when the party Leadership met to discuss Ruto’s impeachment.
He has also dismissed the alleged 126 Members of Congress signatures terming them as fake because they are the ones that were used to impeachment Garrissa Township Member of Parliament Hon Aden Duale from the position of the Majority seat last year.
Reacting to the ODM and ANC decision to impeach Ruto without Jubilee’s consent, Tuju has Defended their Party Leader leader saying that it’s so unfortunate and sad for someone who doesn’t belong to your family, to just come and start commanding how things will be going on. He castigated the ODM party for falling into the traps of the enemy, telling them to be extra vigilant.
“So far those are just speculations. There is no such Motion. It has not been discussed within the party. If there was such a discussion it would have been communicated to all members,” said Tuju.
Elsewhere, Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa said Ruto had the support of at least 150 lawmakers, making it impossible to raise the required number for the Motion to sail through.
“We are meeting tomorrow (today). I am in charge of mobilising members. We have at least 150 MPs on our side. Then we are also sure of winning more members should they bring on the Motion,” said Barasa.
