Murang’a Senator Irungu Kangata has told off leaders from Mt Kenya region who have been attacking him over his letter to President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Kang’ata said he has had enough of the attacks and the leaders should respect his opinion.

Speaking in Gatanga, Murang’a county, the senator stood his ground that his letter to Uhuru reflected the truth on the ground, and he should not be admonished because of it.

Kang’ata who is the Senate majority whip, accused the leaders of being insincere by covering up the truth on the ground.

He said the letter was meant to give an insight into how the Building Bridges Initiative campaign was being handled in the region but it has been turned into a political weapon against him.
