Flamboyant city lawyer who is never shy of controversy and public display of affluence is recuperating at the Aga Khan University Hospital after testing positive for Covid-19.
Although he is said to be stable, he is still under supplemental oxygen due to difficulty in breathing.
However, insiders say he is stable and out of danger.
Before his ailment, the lawyer was photographed hosting a party at his posh residence in Nairobi attended by among others the aging Central Organisation for Trade Union (COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli.
His professional colleagues and friends have sent a stream of quick recovery and good will messages to the lawyer.
“I wish my BFF — the eminent lawyer @DonaldBKipkorir— a quick and full recovery from Covid-19. Thanks to the great staff at the Aga Khan University Hospital who’ve been giving him excellent care. He will completely recover and come back even stronger,” he tweeted.
“In addition to my Family & Staff, I thank my friends for raising their hands in supplication and Dua to Almighty God and Allah and constantly sending me prayers.” Professor Makau Mutua posted on his Twitter handle.
“Thanks for all your prayers. Let me heal now,” Donald tweeted back.
He had hosted a group of friends at his palatial mansion to watch the US Elections.
The government notably the Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi kagwe has on several occasions castigated those flouting the health guidelines protocols to hold gatherings both political and social in nature.
Atwoli, who is known to be allergic in complying with the basic health Covid-19 containment measure requirement of wearing a mask has numerously exhibited public defiance to this directive by hosting political gatherings at his palatial Ildamat residence in Kajiado.
