Three suspects who have been linked to the murder of a Thika business woman were arraigned in Murang’a high Court on Wednesday.
The three Purity Wanjiru, James Munene and Morris Mutwiri appeared before justice Hatari Waweru but they did not take the plea as police asked to be given more time to conclude investigations.
Solomon Njeru the assistant director of public prosecution representing the state pleaded with the court to give the investigators more time to conclude the matter due to its complexity of the matter.
Wanjiru and Munene were arrested on 28th February together with six others who were later released due to lack of evidence.
They were arraigned in Thika magistrate’s court on 1st March and they have been in custody for the past 14 days and the case was transferred to Murang’a High Court.
The judge ordered that the two be remanded at Murang’a Gk prison for ten more days.
