Nyamira senator Kennedy Mon’gare has faulted President Uhuru Kenyatta for failing to tackle corruption that has become an eyesore in the country.
Mon’gare who is eyeing the presidential seat in the fourth coming elections said that the president has proved to the country that he is incompetent and should not hold any public office as a result of his questionable integrity.
The presidential hopeful who was on a tour to the Kuria regions of Migori county said that as senate, they had forwarded the names of corrupt government officials to the president to act upon but all in vain.
Mon’gre that he will take it upon himself to expose corrupt individuals who are seeking public offices saying that the only way to tame corruption in the country.
The senator also requested the Director of Public Prosecutions, Keriako Tobiko to move with speed and arrest those who had been implicated in the massive corruption and mismanagement of public funds by the senate.
Mong’are who was endorse by the Kuria elders promised to spearhead various development projects in the region.
He added that, the Kuria community has been marginalized for a long time and he will ensure that they are not left behind, if he wins the presidential seat.
