Deputy President William Ruto has registered for his Huduma Namba at the Lang’ata DCC headquarters quelling week-long speculations which began after he skipped the launch of the exercise last week.
The DP was accompanied by his son and daughter to register on the National Integrity Identity Management System (NIIMS) and obtain the Huduma Namba.
A section of leaders including COTU Secretary General Francis Atwoli had began asking the DP to declare whether or not he supports the NIIMS registration exercise.
The DP registered a day after the First Lady Margaret Kenyatta on Monday led State House staff in registering for the Huduma Namba.
Among the first to register for number after the First Lady were State House Comptroller Kinuthia Mbugua, the Chief of Staff in the First Lady’s Office Constance Gakonyo and Deputy Comptroller George Kariuki.
Others included President Kenyatta’s Private Secretary Jomo Gecaga and Aide-De-Camp Lieutenant Colonel Timothy Stelu Lekolol.
