Former TNA secretary general Onyango Oloo could find himself in jail if corruption allegations against him is sustained.
Devolution Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri said investigations are currently being conducted against Oloo during his tenure as the chairman at Lake Basin Development Authority (LBDA).
The CS warned the TNA boss who defected to ODM party on Wednesday that he should not seek “his peoples” protection as the case against him comes to a close.
“When politicians are faced with prosecution, they resort to the tribal tag of defending themselves. But I want to tell Oloo that, as he “spills” secrets on the President, I have a file that I am about to close,” Kiunjuri said.
He spoke yesterday at Kilimo House where he joined three other cabinet secretaries for a drought update.
He further pointed out that the former spokesperson of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s party defected to the orange party because of the corruption claims that marred his tenure as chairman of LBDA.
“His last work station is under my ministry and he knows the mess he did while there. The files are being closed, and when the investigations are completed he could be in jail,” said Kiunjuri.
While defecting on Wednesday, Oloo said during a rally at Kisumu’s Jomo Kenyatta Grounds that he would spill all the tricks that the Jubilee coalition used in 2013.
