Tension is high at Chepkesin in Baringo North after two people were killed this morning in afresh attack.
The two were killed after more than 40 armed bandits suspected to be from Pokot community raided the area early this morning.
Among those killed was a teacher at Chepkesin primary who was going on with his daily duties before he was ambushed at shot dead.
The 9am incident left many other residents injured and the unknown number of livestock driven by the armed bandits.
More residents are fleeing their homes fearing for their lives as they don’t know the next move the bandits will take.
The bandits also torched down more than ten houses in the area which has cost loses to most of the residents.
The bandits also are reported to have torched houses at loruk which has sparked tension in the area.
Confirming the incident the Administration Police commander Robinson Ndhiwa said the bandits raided the area and commit their heinous act and left with unknown number of livestock.
“So far we have deployed more security personal in the area to beef up security as we are working to get hold of the culprits because they have been an headache for the past few days,” said Ndhiwa.
