TSC has instructed county education directors to report teachers who have been away for over six months due to medical reasons to the commission.
The commission said cases of substance abuse and mental challenges facing teachers should also be reported.
“A case of a teacher that has not been in the station for over three months and is not officially on approved leave of absence is also required,” the commission said in a circular on Thursday.
The commission asked the directors to provide the data by November 15.
Meanwhile, KCSE exams began smoothly in most parts of the country on Monday. KCPE starts on October 30.
