Eight KDF soldiers were killed on Sunday after their armoured vehicle was ripped apart by an IED in Dhobley, Somalia.
The soldiers of Platoon PTL of QRF convoy were returning to Dhobley through Dagalema route from Dadaab at the time of the attack.
A statement from KDF on the attack said the troops were from a a vehicle escort duty at the time they encountered the IED.
“The device completely destroyed a the APC killing eight and injuring two troops. The casualties have since been airlifted to Wajir,” military sources said.
