A senior TSC officer was charged on Friday with taking Sh92,000 from four people to help them get jobs.
Samuel Munguti, a Senior Human Resource Officer at the Teachers Service Commission, appeared before Chief Magistrate Douglas Ogotti of the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court.
Munguti is facing four charges of obtaining money by false pretenses.
The officer allegedly committed the crimes in September and October 2015 at the TSC’s headquarters in Upper Hill, Nairobi.
Munguti is said to have received Sh20,000 from Alice Neri and Sh35,000 from Julian Wambua, on September 15, to help them become Curriculum Support Officers.
The prosecution said he also received Sh19,000 from Sabastian Nzomo on October 9 and Sh18,000 from Eunice Mukami on October 13 to help them secure the same positions.
Munguti denied all the abuse of office charges and was released on bond of Sh250,000 or a cash bail of Sh50,000.
The case will be mentioned on April 25.
