As drought situation continues to bite, businesses at Sinendet area in Njoro sub county have been paralyzed.
The residents today took to the streets protesting against the county government of Nakuru for not providing them with clean water.
The irate residents claimed that despite the allocation of Sh30 million to repair the water pipes in the area by the county government, there is no work that has been done so far.
They called on the government to help them with water because their animals are dying due to dehydration.
Most of the water sources in the area have since dried up forcing them to travel many kilometres in search for the scarce commodity.
They however faulted the county government for delaying the disbursement of funds allocated for the rehabilitation of Nyugo dam that has dried up.
The county government also allocated Sh6 million to cater for water supply to residents of Lare Ward, but still lie in the county bank accounts while the residents continue to struggle to access water.
The residents have now called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to address the issue noting that the county government has failed them in totality.
