The government has been directed to reinstate the security detail of at least 141 NASA MPs that had been withdrawn after Raila Odinga’s January 30 swearing in.
This was after the High court issued temporary orders directing the state to reinstate the legislators’ security.
The court also suspended the decision by police to withdraw MP Peter Kaluma’s firearm license pending the determination of the case.
Justice Roselyne Aburili further certified the matter filed by the MPs as urgent and directed them to serve all respondents.
They were also directed to appear before court in two week’s time for inter-parties hearing.
On January 30, police officers attached to the legislators’ detail received oral communication requiring them to return to their respective stations.
The NASA legislators had moved to court on Monday following the decision said to have been relayed from Vigilance House.
