Persons living with HIV in the country have called on the government to ensure their full participation in coming up with approaches and efforts aimed at reducing the spread of the virus.
Under the umbrella National Association the National Empowerment Network of People Living with HIV/Aids in Kenya(Nephak), the group said the level of engagement should be both at the national and county levels.
Led by Kisumu chapter Nephak official Erick Okioma, they said lack of proper engagement between both the levels of government and persons living with HIV has been a big challenge in fighting the spread of the disease.
Okioma said the situation has seen unfriendly approaches being embraced and rolled out without their involvement hence hindering the fight against the scourge in the country.
